What I love about this panel is that you see that the Brian we know is also the same Brian even when he's not mind-reading...or that the mind-reading is so ingrained in the way he lives his life, that even when he can't read minds, it doesn't change him. Because he's totally in character, even on the phone. And he's still irresistibly reading her mind...even though he's technically not.
